Despite their success in front of both Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark, rumours persist about a potential Boston Bruins trade this season, with the latter being the main focus of a potential deal.
Linus Ullmark to stay in Boston this season
Now, one Bruins insider has declared that there's no way he will be moved this season, with a 16-team no-trade list and the chemistry and talent of the star net minding duo as the reasons why.
"The #NHLBruins are not trading Linus Ullmark during this season. It is the strength of the team and they aren't going to piss it away especially at this point. Ullmark also has a 16 team no trade list."
It's safe to say that Boston, like every other contender have some moves to make if they wish to become the top team in their conference, but it's now seemingly a guarantee that moving Ullmark won't be the way they improve the rest of their roster.
Where will the Bruins upgrade their roster?
While Boston have excelled this season, they still need one major upgrade on the blue line and the forward group, but without the option of moving Ullmark, it appears they may have to choose between one or the other.
With some talented young prospects, they could be looking at a player like Noah Hanifin as a potential target, but no matter what they decide to do over the next few weeks, an Ullmark trade just makes no sense, but could be re-visited in the summer.
