's time at the international level is quickly coming to an end, but according to Connor McDavid, that won't be happening any time soon with Crosby still having plenty to give on the international stage.

Team Canada has had immense success on the international level in the past two decades, and although it was Connor McDavid that played hero on Thursday night, it's Sidney Crosby that has been the leader of all that success.

The captain of the team was once again fantastic in the Four Nations Face Off, but with the Penguins captain turning 38-years of age later this year, it's safe to say that he's got limited time left on the international stage.

As McDavid scored the OT winner, many saw this as a passing of the torch from Crosby, but when asked about it after the game, No. 97 made it clear that Crosby isn't quite done yet.

«Well, I think you're gonna see Sid in 12 months. So, I don't see a passing of any torch.»

With the 2026 Olympic Games set to take place in Milan next February, Crosby is expected to lead his country once more, and with the 2028 Hockey World Cup to be the next time the NHL will appear on the international level, we may be looking at the final appearances of Crosby for Team Canada.

Even with the star studded group of McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar and others set to lead Canada into the future, Crosby isn't done yet, as he remains a point-per-game player in the NHL this season, so while his time will come to an end one day in the next few years, we've still got some time with No. 87 moving forward.
