Tonight news has broken of a former second overall pick retiring at just age 25.
Former Top Pick Retires After Rocky Career
A new post on Instagram has confirmed that former second-overall pick in 2017 Nolan Patrick has retired from the NHL. According to the post Patrick has found his future calling as a mentor to young hockey players and a skills coach.
Patrick played for the Philadelphia Flyers and Vegas Golden Knights. He played 222 games in his NHL career. Unfortunately, injuries constantly plagued Patrick from reaching his true potential.
Now Patrick will have a great opportunity to impact the next generation of young hockey players.
