Toronto native Peter Holland's NHL career may be over, but he has continued to play and make headlines since leaving the North American market and playing in the Russian and then Swedish elite hockey leagues.
While playing for Djurgardens IF of the SHL Holland had an on-ice fight with Fredrik Styrman (video below) that result in Stryrman sitting out the rest of the season and recently announcing his retirement from hockey.
Holland was suspended 4 games for the incident and also fined $4000.
A highly touted NHL prospect, Holland enjoyed a successful OHL career and was drafted 15th overall by Anaheim in the 2009 NHL draft.
Holland bounced around between teams and the AHL spending his NHL career with the Ducks, Leafs, Coyotes and Rangers, as well as several AHL teams before heading to Europe.
Holland played in a total 266 NHL games and tallied 85 total points.
