The Toronto Maple Leafs are a team that needs to go ''all in'' this season, as more than just one persons butt is on the line this year. General Manager Kyle Dubas is possibly in his final year with the Maple Leafs, and players like Auston Matthews and William Nylander need to be given reasons to stay past their current deals.
This morning the Maple Leafs made a few minor moves, which were sending Pontus Holmberg, Alex Steeves, and Joseph Woll down to the AHL.

This move was interesting as Woll was currently the back-up goalie, which now leaves Samsonov as the only active goalie on the roster.
With the Maple Leafs not playing until Wednesday, this could mean one of two things. One, Matt Murray is closer than expected to returning, or two, the Maple Leafs are freeing up cap space to make a possible trade.
There has been a lot of speculation on what the Leafs are doing at the deadline, some people want them to go big, some want them to add depth and some want them to add goaltending.
The only problem they have is, it all requires cap space, which they are seriously lacking, unless someone like Kerfoot is added into a deal.
