BREAKING: Young Top Prospect Traded For Nothing
The Carolina Hurricanes just completed a rare trade after the trade deadline.
Hurricanes Send Center Prospect To Senators
The team announced the trade on X today. The deal sent 5'11" center prospect Jamieson Rees to the Ottawa senators in exchange for a 6th round pick in the 2024 NHL draft.
The #Canes have acquired a 6th-round draft pick from the @Senators in exchange for Jamieson Rees.
Rees was drafted by the Hurricanes in the 2nd round, 44th overall in 2019. Since then he has not progressed particularly well. He has just four assists in 37 games at the AHL level this season.
Hopefully a change of scenery will help Rees continue his professional career in Hockey. Right now he does not appear to be a legitimate threat to crack an NHL lineup, even with the Senators.
