The Boston Bruins versus Tampa Bay Lightning got heated last night, as Trent Frederic and Tanner Jeannot dropped the gloves. Frederic may have gotten the worst of it, getting bloodied up.

Fighting seems to be having its comeback moment in the NHL this year, with a resurgence in the media and seemingly with the players. Last night was no different, as Trent Frederic and Tanner Jeannot dropped the gloves in a spirited fight.

It looks like Frederic got the worst end of the stick from the seasoned fighter in Jeannot, and he was forced to head to the dressing room to fix himself up after getting bloodied during the fight. Take a look at the fight below.

Jeannot and Frederic go at it and Jeannot CATCHES Frederic with one 😳

Jeannot looks like he got the upper hand in the fight, and fans on social media would agree, saying that other players in the NHL should get the memo that they shouldn't fight him. He is a great player to have on your third line, someone who plays decent minutes but is also tough enough to police the situation while he is on the ice. Unlike some other enforcers, who have a hard time finding their way off the bench.

The fight seemed to spark the Lightning, who were able to use the momentum to win the game 3-1. The Lightning sit just 2 points back of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Atlantic.

As playoffs come up, we might be seeing more teams make statements like this.
