Update: the NHL has decided to not punish Brad Marchand
Brad Marchand took a gross dive last night and we now have word on whether or not Marchand will be fined for his actions.. After a tap on the back of his leg from Toronto Maple Leafs forward Tyler Bertuzzi, Brad Marchand went flying clearly trying to sell a call, which he did successfully.
After the whistle, things got a bit chippy between Brad Marchand and Tyler Bertuzzi with Marchand going down rather easily after Bertuzzi "slashed" Marchand.
Bertuzzi is called for slashing on Marchand
I really hope Brad Marchand survives this treacherous slash.
Praying for him
Clearly, Bertuzzi did not do enough to warrant this kind of response from Marchand.
The NHL made a verdict on whether or not they would fine Marchand for his actions today.
