During the VHL finals in Russia, Kirill Krutov player was in need of a stretcher as he took a brutal check to the head from an opponent.

As the summer looms larger, many players around the world are having their seasons come to an end. In Russia, the VHL finals are currently ongoing and we witnessed one of the dirtiest hits of the year as Kirill Krutov of Neftyanik Almetievsk had to be stretchered off the ice by paramedics.

Prayers up for Neftyanik Almetievsk player Kirill Krutov who had to be stretchered out after this hit from AKM player Pavel Medvedev who has been ejected 5+20.

Krutov is a 6-1 winger who has spent the majority of his hockey career is in the Kazan system. This year he has produced one of the best seasons of his career and is looking to make the jump to the KHL next year once he recovers from this injury.

Pavel Medvedev, the player who laid the hit, is a 32-year-old winger who has spent his entire career in Russia and surrounding the KHL. It is likely that he will wind up being suspended for the rest of his season for this hit.

Hopefully, Krutov will be okay and will be able to continue his promising hockey career as soon as he achieves a full and hopefully speedy recovery.
