The Chicago Blackhawks have been without their rookie phenom Connor Bedard since January 5th with a jaw injury. The Blackhawks have just released an update on his progress.
Blackhawks Announce Bedard Out At Least Another Week
The Blackhawks were given a six-week recovery time frame and it is now five-weeks since his surgery but unfortunately the Blackhawks were given news they were not hoping for.
"We're hoping after that six-week mark (after surgery), so that will be a week from today, I guess.
I think they just thought everything was on course, so I think maybe later in the week or early next week is probably when they're targeting for hopefully the last one,» he said. «They just said it was useless to take another image with radiation. Everything was on pace and looks to be on the same timeline that they thought.»
Their young superstar will be out another week which is not what the Blackhawks were hoping for as since Bedard left the lineup the Blackhawks have just three wins in 13 games.
