Bruce Boudreau went over his naughty list this year and shared how the Rangers are certainly on the naughty list for how they have been this year.

To say this year has been a disappointment would be an understatement for the New York Rangers. After a hot start, the team has fallen off and out of playoff contention.

Recently, they have made headlines for many things, none of which are positive, like trading their captain Jacob Trouba to a team he did not want to go to, trading Kaapo Kakko for pennies on the dollar after drafting him 2nd overall in 2019, and most recently scratching former 50-goal scorer Chris Kreider.

Bruce Boudreau took note and said this about the Rangers on national TV.

"Oh, man, I got a big lump of coal and inside a bigger lump of coal here. But I'm going to start with the New York Rangers."

"You know what? After their 12-4 start, everything has gone wrong for this team, from trading their captain to moving another player the other day, Kakko, to sitting out Kreider, like, I mean, something's going to go so I got to believe something is happening with the New York Rangers."

"And I think after the break, it's really something's going to happen if they don't continue to start to win pretty soon. But hey, listen, that's inside a bigger lump of coal"

Clearly, the Rangers need to change something quickly. Being on the downward trend they are currently on is not sustainable and could lead to many members of the front office or coaching staff getting fired by owner James Dolan.

We will now see if the Rangers can turn this ship around or if 2024-25 will be a year to forget for the storied franchise.
