Paul Maurice gives hilarious update on goaltender Anthony Stolarz
The Florida Panthers took down the Lightning quick in the playoffs, and now with time to wait until the next round, they've got a major injury worry.
In practice on Thursday, goaltender Anthony Stolarz of the Florida Panthers went down, and initially, there were major concerns about the backup net minder.
Anthony Stolarz is back in net. He's been stretching on the bench since the apparent injury but seems to be moving fine between the pipes.
Now, Head Coach Paul Maurice has eased the worry of Panthers fans, as he officially gave an update, and in surprising fashion, he added a joke in there as well.
Per Paul Maurice, Anthony Stolarz is fine «but his kids may not be.»
Sounds like he got hit in the nether region.
He returned to the net after he was in pain for a bit.
According to Maurice, Stolarz will be fine, especially given the few extra days of rest this team is getting, as he would eventually return to the ice at the end of practice, showing that he's completely fine.

With Sergei Bobrovsky at his absolute best thus far in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, it's unclear how much we will see Stolarz over the next month, but he's shown the ability to be incredibly effective as a backup, so he will continue to play a major role going forward.
