Vincent Trocheck exposes JT Miller's true colors with story from their minor hockey days
New York Rangers forward Vincent Trocheck recently shared a story about JT Miller's childhood that shows the kind of person he is.
The Canucks trading JT Miller to the New York Rangers has seemingly opened the gates for the trade market since.
We have seen several more big moves be made since then, including the San Jose Sharks trading Mikael Granlund to the Dallas Stars.
Since the trade, the New York Rangers are 2-1 keeping their hopes for the playoffs alive.
During their last game, Rangers forward Vincent Trocheck gave an in-game interview with TNT where he revealed what his relationship is like with Miller.
Apparently, the two men have been best friends since they were kids.
"He's my best friend in the world. We've talked about this for years. It means a lot. It's just a cool experience to be able to play with your best friend in the NHL"
He even shared a revealing story, saying how Miller has calmed down as he has gotten older.
Miller is known for being very passionate on the ice, but apparently he used to be even more aggressive and hard on himself, as Trocheck point out.
"He's actually calmed down a lot. He's definitely calmer now. There were some times before junior when we nine-ten year olds that our dads had to settle him down. He was smacking sticks up his head. So things have changed a little bit there."
So it would appear as though we are lucky that Miller isn't waking himself in the head on a nightly basis in the NHL.
Hopefully, he will continue to thrive with the Rangers for the remainder of the season as they look to claw their way back into the playoffs.
