#Sens captain Brady Tkachuk announced on Instagram that he and his wife Emma are expecting a baby boy in September. Congrats to the Tkachuk family!
There is a phenomena often seen with professional athletes where they perform better immediately after receiving good news or other similar events that give them a boost to morale. This is often associated with babies being born, but in this case, it appears as though Tkachuk received his dad powers early as he just recently scored his third career hat trick.
Ottawa Senators Look To Regroup Next Season After Disappointing Year
Meanwhile, the team has not had the best season this time around. While the team was expected to make a serious push for the playoffs, injuries and bad goaltending sank their season. Making matters worse is the fact that young star forward Josh Norris is out for the rest of the season after having shoulder surgery.
With all of this in mind, the Senators will take their lottery pick this season and move on. Hopefully the team can end their seven-year playoff drought next season when everyone is fully healthy.
