Future hall-of-famer and arguably the greatest goalscorer of all time, Alex Ovechkin, has revealed when he believes he will retire from hockey.
Ovechkin Believes He Will Retire After His Current Contract Expires
Just now, news dropped stating that Alex Ovechkin believes he will retire once his current contract is up with the Capitals.
Alex Ovechkin believes he will retire from hockey after he finishes out current contract with Capitals
Ovechkin currently has until 2026 when his contract with the Capitals is up. Ovechkin currently has 836 career goals which is just 58 goals behind Wayne Gretzky for first all time.
Assuming Ovechkin is able to stay healthy, he should have a fair shot at catching Gretzky but only time will tell if he is able to beat him before 2026.
