The Edmonton Oilers are currently on a 4 game winning streak, but despite this they are still just in a Wild Card spot, where they have the skill to be a team that should be competing for the Presidents Trophy.
The Oilers possess the two best players in the league and want to capitalize on this while they can and bring a Stanley cup back to Edmonton. This season they've been at the heart of a lot of trade rumours, but with the teams available cap space, that's going to be hard to bring in someone who can seriously contribute.
Last night they got Evander Kane back in the lineup which will be a huge boost, but they could still probably use just a little bit more to push them over the edge. Just to make the space to bring Evander Kane off LTIR, the Oilers placed both Kailer Yamamoto and Ryan Murray on long-term injury reserve which freed up roughly $4,000,000 in cap space.
In an attempt to clear some additional cap space, the Edmonton Oilers have now made two more players available for trade:
Just recently there have been rumours that they're in on Erik Karlsson or Ivan Provorov, it could be an exciting time to be an Oilers fan.
