Steven Stamkos is currently without a contract extension from the Lightning but an insider has revealed what he believes will happen with the franchise sniper.
LeBrun Believes Stamkos Extension Is Coming After The Season
TSN insider Pierre LeBrun has dropped some major news regarding Steven Stamkos and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Pierre Lebrun believes the Tampa Bay Lightning and F Steven Stamkos WILL reach a contract agreement, but no discussions will occur until the season is complete.
Stamkos has been quite effective this season scoring 15 goals and 35 points through 32 games which is good for third on the team in points behind Nikita Kucherov and Brayden Point.
Stamkos was originally the first overall pick from the 2008 draft and has spent his entire career with the Lightning. Through 1035 career games Stamkos has scored 530 career goals and 1091 career points. He has also won the Rocket Richard twice and brought home two Stanley Cups as the captain of the Lightning.
