It's been a sad year for the Chicago Blackhawks fans as they had to see Patrick Kane get traded away from the organization, a player who has played a major part in bringing three Stanley Cups to Chicago, and now the news has broke than at the end of this season, they will be losing another one of their major franchise pieces.
Just a few minutes ago, Kyle Davidson announced that the Chicago Blackhawks will not be re-signing Jonathan Toews for next season:
While Toews is not the player he used to be, he is still a very valuable defensive player, and the leader of the Chicago Blackhawks. It is very hard to see the Blackhawks let their captain go for absolutely nothing.
Toews has played in 1066 games all as a Chicago Blackhawk, scoring 371 goals 511 assists for 882 points.
Toews will always be a Chicago Blackhawk in all our hearts:
