Ever since yesterday's news before the Toronto Maple Leafs and Philadelphia Flyers game that the Flyers were going to scratch Keith Yandle from the lineup ending his Iron man streak, the Flyers management has taken a lot of criticism.
We have heard from many fans, players and hockey analysts, all voicing their opinion on Flyers Chuck Fletcher's decision to make Keith Yandle a healthy scratch after going 989 consecutive games.
Keith Yandle's friend and teammate also shared his displeasure of his teams decision Hayes one of Yandle's best friends was asked by the media his opinion on Yandle being scratched Hayes replied saying:
"We put ourselves in this situation. Decisions have to be made. Players don't make those decisions. It's truly on us he had to sit out. Can't say I agree with it. What he provides to guys on this team is something no one else can do. They made a decision, and we have to roll with it but wasn't the right decision."
