Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes was not easy on his team Thursday after they lost another big game.

The Canucks lost their second game in a row Thursday night, dropping the contest 5-1 to the LA Kings.

With the loss, Vancouver is now just 2-5-3 over their last ten games, falling to fifth place in the Pacific Division.

This is obviously very troubling for a team that came into this season with legitimate hopes of competing for a Stanley Cup.

After the game, Quinn Hughes spoke to the media and he was not easy on his team.

He expressed a sense of urgency, calling for his teammates (and seemingly the front office) to figure things out fast.

"I mean, I feel like we had our chances. It's more that we were just, you know, giving them freebies. I mean, the problem for our team tonight wasn't that we weren't getting looks; it was that we were just giving them everything.

I mean, I'm an optimistic guy, and I believe in our group. It's game 44 tonight. Whatever that was, and we need to be figuring our stuff out quickly."

One must wonder exactly what he meant when he said, "We need to be figuring our stuff out quickly."

Yes, he very well may have just been talking about the on-ice play.

But it is hard to overlook the season-long drama that has been progressing in the team's locker room.

Surely that would have an impact on individuals on the ice on a night-to-night basis.

Just today, a report emerged that Thatcher Demko has effectively lost his desire to play, which very well could be a sign that things in the locker room are only getting worse.

Hopefully, for Canucks fans this drama will end soon.

It seems that the best outcome would be for the team to trade JT Miller, and that does seem to be the way things are trending, but now it is becoming urgent.

As such, we could see Patrik Allvin make a move sooner rather than later.
