The likelihood of a Brad Marchand trade has gone up as of late, and now, TSN's Chris Johnston has all but confirmed a move to the Western Conference is upon us.

Brad Marchand's status in Boston has been up in the air for a number of months now, and while he made it clear that he was open to an extension, the longer it went without one the more likely it was that Marchand would be traded.
Now, the 36-year old appears to be on the move, with TSN's Chris Johnston revealing that it's now very likely the team move him, specifically in a trade with a team in the Western Conference.
Given the contending teams in the West, that could be anyone from Winnipeg, Dallas, Colorado, Edmonton or even the LA Kings, but unsurprisingly, some fans are already expecting the Vegas Golden Knights to somehow get this done.
Given how long he's been a part of the Bruins organization, it won't be easy for Boston to move Marchand, who has been the heart and soul of the team for a decade, with many feeling that they'll need to officially hear it before they believe it.
However, the Bruins have already parted ways with Trent Frederic and could be inclined to move other players given how they've struggled on the whole this season, this potential move could certainly lead to others.
As of right now, there's less than 24 hours until the trade deadline on Friday, and according to most reports, Marchand is likely on the way out in Boston, and with several teams in the Western Conference now ready to make a move, this could be the biggest splash of the trade deadline.
