The Montreal Canadiens were supposed to be the exciting selling team to watch this year, as they were supposed to be fully committed to a rebuild, which meant selling off some of their older players.
To this point though, no trade had been made and us fans were starting to get a little upset.
Early this morning though, the Montreal Canadiens pulled off a trade to trade away Evgeny Dadonov to the Dallas Stars.
Dadonov was acquired from the Vegas Golden Knights last offseason in exchange for the contract of Shea Weber. In 50 games this season, he has scored 4 goals and 18 points.
The Montreal Canadiens have traded him to the Dallas Stars in exchange for 25 year old, former 12th overall pick Denis Gurianov.
🚨 TRADE ALERT 🚨
