Trade talks and free agent signings aside, David Pastrnak opened up about the tragic passing of his son Viggo last summer.
Needless to say the loss of a child would be heartbreaking for any parent, but Pastrnak has an incredible perspective on grief and loss, as shown by his recent comments when asked about how he was able to move forward:
Pastrnak having a hard time talking about his year, asked how he was able to move forward. «Time. Time and love. I wouldn't wish it on anybody. Better days are ahead.» Ty Anderson (@_TyAnderson) May 16, 2022
No matter who you cheer for I think all fans of hockey and any human being would feel for David Pastrnak and his family, and appreciate his reflections.
Canes fan here, much respect to Pasta and the way he went out and played through all the emotions this year, I know it must have been a struggle. We as fans watch the games and talk the trash never grasping the fact that there's real people behind those jerseys. Blast Beat 117 (@BlastBeat117) May 16, 2022
