Last night, in a new chapter of the Battle of Alberta, against the Calgary Flames, the Oilers broke a few records in the 3-1 win.

They became the first Canadian team to reach 13 wins in a row, surpassing the Maple Leafs and the Canadiens, two of the most storied organizations in the league.

Goaltender Stuart Skinner became the first goalie in Edmonton to win 10 straight games and he set another franchise record by allowing two or fewer goals for 11 consecutive games.

"Oilers win 13th in a row and become first team from the Western Conference and first Canadian team to win 13.

Set franchise record with 11th consecutive game allowing two or fewer goals.

Skinner ties franchise record for goalie with 10 straight wins.

EDM is 21-3 in last 24."

Hyman and Knoblauch React to Record-Breaking Streak

Forward Zach Hyman opened up on their record-breaking streak in a recent interview:

The Oilers tied the 1967-68 Montreal Canadiens' previous record of 12 straight wins with a 4-2 victory against the Seattle Kraken on Thursday.

"When we did the (franchise record) 10-game streak we eclipsed the Oilers, the 80s teams, now it's the old Montreal team," Edmonton forward Zach Hyman said. "When you're in the moment you just go out there and play, but I'm sure it'll be something cool to look back on [how] we now hold this streak for a Canadian team. We want to keep winning, so we'll see where it goes."

The head coach Kris Knoblauch also shared his thoughts! Check out what he said in the following video:
