A New York Rangers fan pointed out recently that the National Hockey League definitely has a double standard for it's star players. Sidney Crosby made a near identical hit to a New York Rangers player in the first round as Evander Kane made on Nazem Kadri and Crosby's hit didn't even get a review.

Evander Kane received a major penalty and a suspension for his hit, Crosby received neither for his, yet they are the exact same play.
A lot of criticism has been thrown at the NHL and Player Safety for only awarding suspensions if a play results in an injury, but whether a player gets injured or not should not matter, it should be based on the actions of the player who delivers the hit.
