Marc-Andre Fleury. Gold medalist. Stanley Cup champion x3. Vezina winner. First overall pick. The guy has done it all. At the wise-old age of 37, we may not have too many years left to see this guy take the crease in the NHL.

After being traded to the Blackhawks in the offseason, Fleury contemplated retirement, but later chose to honour his contract and head to the windy city to try and take a run at the playoffs. Unfortunately things have not turned out for team and Fleury is now on the trading block looking for a contender.

We know he has already rejected a trade to the Capitals due to his time in Pittsburgh and doesn't want to be on the other side of that rivalry as many players already have been.

But we have just learned that he may have rejected a trade to a Canadian team. This is a quote from hockeyfeed.com :

he Edmonton Oilers are believed to be in the mix, though it is rumoured that Flower does not consider them enough of a contender to accept a trade to Edmonton. After the Capitals, this would be the second time Fleury rejects a potential trade ahead of the deadline.

Fleury wants to win a cup, and him considering the team with quite possibly the first and second best players in the league not a true contender, I believe speaks a lot for the Oilers, who many consider only to be missing a true #1 goaltender to be true Stanley Cup threats.
