Mike Babcock is a stanley cup winning coach and was very successful during his time in the National Hockey League. He was selected to also coach Team Canada on multiple occasions over future hall of fame coaches like Barry Trotz.
The last time Babcock was a coach in the NHL was with the Toronto Maple Leafs back in the 2019-20 season before he was let go. His coaching style came with a bunch of controversy, and it definitely didn't sit well with a few players. For example in Mitch Marner's rookie season Babcock asked him to write a list of the 5 least-hard working players on the team, and he then announced that list to the room.
Since he was fired from the Maple Leafs, more stories have come out about how he treated his players, and it all makes you wonder how he remained in the NHL for as long as he did.
One former player of his though has a hatred far beyond what any other player cares to admit and he has now added it to his signature:
Mike Commodore often blames Babcock for ending his career, and often takes every chance he can to criticize him on social media.
