Peel was fired from the NHL after he was caught on mic admitting he wanted to call a penalty on the Nashville Predators early in the game, even though it ''wasn't much'' to call.
The other night just over 1 minute into the game between the Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche, Evander Kane cross-checked Nazem Kadri from behind sending him into the boards. Kadri would leave the game injured and has been ruled out for the remainder of this series, and possibly the finals if the Avalanche make it. Kadri was spotted leaving the arena in a cast that evening.
When Kadri left hurt, Tim Peel the former referee made this disgusting post on social media, which he later deleted but people were sure to take screenshots.

He took it down after people were attacking his comment on social media.
Incase you did not see the play that got him fired from the NHL, here it is:
Maybe if you're a mic'd up ref, you shouldn't express how you wanted to call a penalty against a team earlier in the game, changing how you ref the rest of the game.
