Yaroslav Askarov, a highly touted prospect of the Nashville Predators, has gained a reputation for his exuberant post-shutout celebrations, which have included bench pressing the goal. However, in a recent game against the Texas Stars, Askarov attempted something different, and unfortunately, it didn't turn out well for him.
Late in the third period, Askarov engaged in a fight with Remi Poirier, but his lack of fighting experience was apparent, and he quickly found himself overmatched. Despite taking multiple solid shots, Askarov's willingness to stand up for himself is admirable. Nevertheless, the Predators are unlikely to want their prized prospect taking unnecessary hits in the future.
