Incase you missed today's game between the Colorado Avalanche and Nashville Predators, don't worry we got you covered. The games big story happened during the first period with the Colorado Avalanche leading 2-1, Colorado Avalanche goaltender left the game after getting Ryan Johansen's blade to the eye though his mask. Darcy Kuemper was in considerable pain after and bleeding causing backup goaltender Pavel Francouz to come into the game.

Ryan Johansen's stick somehow made it's way through his mask and into his eye. Kuemper understandably was panicked as anyone would have in that situation and tried to make his way to the Avalanche bench before falling to a knee. Thankfully the medical trainer was right there and helped Kuemper, we saw he was cut on the play, though we couldn't see where due to the towel.

After the game Colorado Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar provided a positive update about Kuemper.

Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar said:

"Darcy Kuemper has some swelling around the eye, but it is not too serious. It is possible that Darcy plays Monday in Game four but will see but Thankfully Darcy will be ok."

The Avalanche would go on to win the game 7-3 over the Nashville Predators. They now lead the series 3-0 and shouldn't feel the need to rush Darcy Kuemper back.
