The Penguins lost in game 7 to the New York Rangers, thus ending the potential ''Last Dance'' of the big 3 in Pittsburgh. For many years, the Penguins have been led by superstars Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang, and with both Malkin & Letang UFA's and the Penguins having limited cap space, it is most likely that they will be losing one if not both of these long time players.

It was rumoured that the Penguins offered both Malkin and Letang 3 years deals worth around $15 million, which is a slap to the face to these two franchise players, and it did not sit well with long-time captain Sidney Crosby.

Kris Letang has played 941 games all as a Pittsburgh Penguin, scored 650 points, hoisted the stanley cup 3 times and was the heart and soul of the Penguins defence for many years.

On Elliotte Friedman's 32 Thoughts he mentions that the Seattle Kraken could be very interested in the services of Kris Letang. The Kraken finished 27-49-6 in their first season and are looking to make a huge splash in free agency this season.

With a decent core already in place for the Kraken, they are just missing a few pieces before atleast being a playoff contender, would Kris Letang be one of those pieces?
