Insane Goalie Fight Occurs in the Dying Seconds of a Game
A crazy scene happened last night that saw two goaltenders decide enough was enough and drop the gloves with just seconds left in the game.
Goalie Fight Breaks Out in Dying Seconds of ECHL Game
Things got heated on Sunday night in the ECHL as two goalies decided that they wanted to join the fisticuffs happening in the dying seconds of a game.
The fight happened between former Montreal Canadiens prospect Michael McNiven and Cam Johnson, and the fight was a pretty good one considering the amount of equipment goalies have to throw punches through.
Take a look at the fight below and see who you think got the upper hand in the bout.
2.7 seconds left in the 3rd and we've got a goalie fight🤦🏼♀️🤣
Johnson would eventually end up on top of McNiven at the end of the bout, despite a very spirited fight between the two goaltenders.
Heated Rivalry Between the Two Teams Leads to Line Brawl
It's pretty obvious that for a line brawl like this to break out, there had to be some bad blood between the two ECHL teams. It appears that these two teams don't like each other very much and that the rivalry is only going to get stronger.
We will see what happens when they face each other again in the future!
