San Jose Barracuda's forward Joel Kellman was injured last night by a hit to the head by Abbortsford Canucks' Vincent Arseneau.
Unfortunately Kellman was unable to get back to his feet and was removed from the ice on a stretcher.
Kellman did have movement in his extremities and was able to offer a thumbs up to the crowd in attendance on his way off the ice. Arseneau was issued a 5 minute major and game misconduct for the hit.
In other positive news Kellman was diagnosed with a concussion after the hit, but was cleared to fly with the team as they returned to San Jose after the game.
Arseneau will definitely be hearing from the league on this hit and will likely be looking at a suspension after this hit.
