Since the retirement of long time starting goalie Pekka Rinne, Juuse Saros has taken over between the pipes in the Nashville Predators goal crease. If his first full season as a starter he has went 38-25-3 with a 2.64 Goals Against Average and .918 Save Percentage.
Unfortunately for the Predators, with playoffs starting next week, their starting goalie Saros went down with an injury the other night against the Calgary Flames, and things are not looking good.
Both Elliotte Friedman and Frank Seravalli reported on the injury today and it does not sound good for Saros and the Predators.
While Friedman's note sounds a little better and that it could only be for the regular season, Seravalli's comment is enough to strike some fear into the hearts of Predators fans.
If Saros is not ready for round 1, do the Predators stand a chance in the playoffs? Rittich is currently the backup on record and he has a very poor season with a .883 save percentage.
