It got crazy During last night's game between the Anaheim Ducks and Carolina Hurricanes.
Carolina Hurricanes sniper Andrei Svechnikov clipped Anaheim Ducks Captain Ryan Getzlaf with a question hit that was very close to knee on knee, Getzlaf did not appreciate it. Getzlaf is one of the most respected and responsible players in the game, so you know it takes something drastic to set him off.
Getzlaf was also still fuming from the faceoff violation penalty he received in the first period, a rare penalty we don't often see called.
As for Andrei Svechnikov he better thank the linesman for protecting him from a, angry Getzlaf who was wanting to give him a good beat down after that hit. He definitely doesn't want to continue to poke more bears after what happened when he fought Ovechkin.
