Teams get a chance to meet, watch and evaluate these young prospects after 2 years of needing to do it digitally.
The Athletics Scott Wheeler stated that the Montreal Canadiens are one of the tougher interviews at the combine. But considering that the Habs have the first overall pick, it's kind of good to hear that they are really making these prospects sweat for their chance to go first overall, especially considering that the draft is being held in Montreal this season.
Wheeler also mentioned one of the interesting/bizarre questions that the Habs have been asking, well, atleast to prospect Calle Odelius. He was asked to choose which he would prefer to do in this particular scenario: pick up a $10 bill off a toilet seat, or $50 from the toilet itself. Apparently Oedelius went for the $50.
The Habs have a bit off a rep here as the toughest interview. Just now Calle Odelius said they asked him if he would pick up $10 off the toilet seat or $50 from the toilet. He chose the $50. Scott Wheeler (@scottcwheeler) June 4, 2022
The only reasoning I can see from this question is to see if the player would take the easy route and take the easy money, or get dirty and go for the grand prize.
