It has been 18 years since the Toronto Maple Leafs have won a playoff series. The last time they did was on April 20, 2004 when the Maple Leafs beat out the Ottawa Senators in 7 games.
The Maple Leafs since 2004 have made the playoffs 5 times (not including this season), losing embarrassingly to the Bruins in 2013, getting knocked out by the Washington Capitals in 2017, losing to the Bruins again in both 2018 & 2019, technically missing the playoffs by losing the 'play in round' in the COVID cup, then once again losing embarrassingly to the Montreal Canadiens in 2020 after having a 3-1 series lead.
Many people think this is finally the season that the Toronto Maple Leafs advance past the 1st round, and NBA legend Charles Barkley makes a bold prediction on this!
