Just over a minute into last nights Western Conference Finals game between the Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche, Evander Kane crosschecked Nazem Kadri from behind sending him into the boards. Kadri would leave the game with an injury and not return.

After the game, Jared Bednar the coach of the Avalanche said that Kadri will miss atleast the rest of the series, but from the sounds of this, he might be out for the finals as well if the Avalanche make it.

Apparently Kadri left Rogers Place last night with a cast on his right arm.

Kadri finished this season with 87 points in 71 games, and currently in these playoffs he has 14 points in 13 games. With the Avalanche one win away from the finals, this could be a huge blow for the Avalanche.

Hockey players are well known to play through injuries in the playoffs, but this must definitely be a bad one.
