It was announced yesterday that Abakar Kazbekov of the Ontario Hockey League had passed away. The London Knights made the official announcement that caught everyone off guard.
This morning a new report has been released on the cause of Kazbekov's death.
Initially it was reported that the body was simply ''found'', the London Police Department have confirmed some more details:
"Around 8:20 a.m. members of the London Police Service were dispatched to attend the intersection of Dufferin Avenue and Talbot Street for a person that had reportedly fallen from the building," said LPS Const. Travis Buckle, "Officers arrived on scene and located a person who was deceased.»
According to the London Police Department, there was no signs of 'foul play' and the death of this young man is being investigated as a suicide.
Just hours before his sudden death, he was skating on the ice with his teammates preparing for a game against the Owen Sound Attack.
On behalf of House of Hockey we would like to give our sincerest condolences to the London Knights organization and of course the Kazbekov family.
