He carried the team for years, and put up stellar numbers that made him the starting goalie for Team Canada's stacked roster for multiple seasons.
Price has been dealing with some injuries that has kept him out of most of last season and all of this year so far, and there is rumours he could maybe never play again.
Recently, Price has been in the media for his stance on the new Canadian Gun law that is trying to be passed.
After Price made this statement, people have been either very upset or very happy with Carey Price, but due to an incident that happened in Montreal years ago, where multiple people were murdered, it was not good timing for Price's post and that's what everyone has been focusing on.
Now Montreal reporter Jack Todd, believes that Carey Price's jersey should now never be retired in Montreal.
Whether Price's statement came at the wrong time or not, Price standing up for his beliefs should not come between him and having his jersey retired for the team that he has carried for years.
Price is one of the greatest goalies in Montreal Canadiens history and possibly in league history, as a proud aboriginal, who grew up hunting to support his family, he should not have this proud honour taken away from him due to this.
My column: Carey Price has failed this community. There's no way his number can be retired now. https://t.co/id4wJ2uReL Jack Todd (@jacktodd46) December 11, 2022
