Chris Tanev is in his first season with the Toronto Maple Leafs and today he gave an update on how he feels things are going and how the team's chemistry is holding up.
The Toronto Maple Leafs and GM Brad Treliving were aggressive this summer in acquiring Tanev from the Dallas Stars before free agency.
The trade provided the Maple Leafs with what they hoped would be a top-pair shutdown defenseman to go along with Morgan Rielly.
For Tanev he got the long-term contract he was hoping to receive and had a permanent place to call home likely for the rest of his career.
With the move made all that was left was to see if Toronto and Tanev were a match and now just over 30 games into the season Tanev has spoken about how he feels things are going so far.

In a new interview, Tanev was asked about how he feels things are going so far both for him personally and as a team.
Tanev admitted that this season with the Maple Leafs is some of the most fun he has had playing in the NHL throughout his career.
I've never had more fun playing than I am now.
After speaking about how fun playing with the team is on the ice he made a statement that is likely surprising to some revealing that the Maple Leafs locker room is amazing.
That locker room camaraderie, it's amazing. It's such a big part of this game
After some of the frustrations shown between teammates last season in the Stanley Cup Playoffs an incredibly tight-knit group isn't exactly what many pictured but seems to be the case this season.
It seems like Tanev and the Maple Leafs are firing on all cylinders right now as they look to be cruising to another playoff berth despite several major injuries to key players.
As the playoffs eventually begin it will be fun to see if the Maple Leafs' newfound chemistry will be able to withstand the pressure and eyes on the locker room that the playoffs bring.
