There are a few super agents in the National Hockey League, and JP Barry is one of the most respected agents in the NHL.
He represents quite a few players in the NHL and the tall defenceman in Vancouver is one of them.
Back on July 1st 2019, he managed to swing a massive 5 year deal in Vancouver with an AAV of $6,000,000, that player being
Tyler Myers.
Ever since that signing, it seems like anytime the Canucks are playing poorly, his name comes up in trade talks. Good thing for Myers though is that he get to decide if he wants to move or not because when his deal was negotiated, it came with a no-trade-clause. The first few years was a full NTC, but this season it's a modified ten-team list.
Some rumours have been flying around that Myers had rejected a trade to the Ottawa Senators, but according to his agent Barry, it didn't happen.
Myers isn't the defenceman he once was, but the towering defenceman can still be a valued member on a contending team as a defensive middle pair role. The former 12th overall pick will most likely be getting traded before this years trade deadline.
