There are quite a few star players on the trading block this year, but the biggest name on the defensive end is Arizona Coyotes Jakob Chychrun.
Chychrun was drafted by the Coyotes 16th overall back in 2016, and at the age of 24 he is ready to break out as a true top pair defenceman on a cup caliber team.
Even though Chychrun requested a trade out of Arizona, he still proudly displayed that he was part of the organization, until yesterday that is, when he removed all affiliation from the team on his social media pages:
While this doesn't guarantee a trade is incoming, this next piece of information definitely points to something happening with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Since the removal of Arizona Coyotes in his instagram profile, he has now followed all the Toronto Maple Leafs players on his account, pointing to him starting a 'relationship' with his new upcoming teammates:
The Maple Leafs have been in need for a top tier defenceman for a long time, and with the skill and cap hit that Chychrun brings, this is a great trade for Toronto.
