The Ottawa Senators are in pursuit of a second line center to play behind Josh Norris and the Sens could still be in the market for help. It was reported Ottawa was involved in discussion for Christian Dvorak before he was traded to Montreal.
One source tells Wheel House Hockey that Ottawa and Colorado has some conversations in the off season that didn't lead to anything, but those conversations have restarted on some level.
Kadri is an unrestricted free agent after this season and would likely require some form of extension in place to provide Ottawa with some peace of mind.
Ottawa has had interest in Kadri dating back to his draft year and the infamous Brian Burke "we're taking him clip."
We will report more information as it becomes available.
