Chris Johnston NHL insider has stated that Team Canada coach Jon Cooper has begun reaching out to players for the upcoming Olympic team.

We already know the 3 names that have already been named to the roster:

But with so many remaining star players in Canada, the rest of the roster is completely up in the air. We can all but guarantee the likes of Nathan MacKinnon, Brad Marchand & Patrice Bergeron will be making team Canada, along with Mitch Marner & two-time Stanley Cup Champion Brayden Point. But who will be named to the bottom 6?

So far the top 6 will most likely look like:

MacKinnon - McDavid - Marner
Marchand - Crosby - Bergeron
EMPTY - Point - EMPTY
EMPTY - EMPTY - EMPTY

Rounding out the third line, I can see Jonathan Huberdeau & Mark Stone.

Which leaves the 4th line. Two players I can see as a lock would be Ryan O'Reilly & Sean Couturier who both have tremendous defensive abilities and also can put up 60+ points (proven multiple times). Could Tom Wilson be the final piece on Team Canada's 4th line Right Wing slot? Wilson brings a physical presence that is lacking on the team and has been one of the best penalty killers for the Washington Capitals in the last 3 seasons. Averaging .69 points per game over the last 3 years, could the player everyone loves to hate on become an Olympian?

Final forward roster

MacKinnon - McDavid - Marner
Marchand - Crosby - Bergeron
Huberdeau - Point - Stone
O'Reilly - Couturier - Wilson
