The Seattle Kraken and Anaheim Ducks have made a trade swapping defenseman Brian Dumoulin in exchange for a future pick.
The Anaheim Ducks are bolstering their blue line as they have traded for Brian Dumoulin.
The #NHLDucks acquire Brian Dumoulin from #SeaKraken for a 2026 fourth-round pick.
TRADE: We have acquired defenseman Brian Dumoulin from Seattle in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.
The Ducks have been quiet since the free agency window opened and this is a move stabilizing their blue line for the upcoming season.
Dumoulin became expendable in Seattle after the signing of Brandon Montour on the backend. GM Ron Francis has been busy this offseason signing Montour and Chandler Stephenson to lengthy and pricy contracts.
We will now wait and see what other moves GM Pat Verbeek makes as he intends on getting the Ducks a bit more competitive and moving on from Trevor Zegras.
More details to come.
