The Anaheim Ducks have officially traded the defenseman Cam Fowler to a Western Conference team, per Elliotte Friedman.

In breaking news, we have action to report from the NHL's trade market.

Indeed, the Anaheim Ducks have agreed on the terms of a trade with the St. Louis Blues including the defenseman Cam Fowler.

The insider Elliotte Friedman was the first to spread the news:

Insider David Pagnotta shared an update on the return, saying a prospect and a pick are part of the package for Fowler.

Finally, Friedman later confirmed that the Blues sent a second-round pick and a minor prospect to Anaheim in return for Fowler and a fourth-round draft pick. The Ducks are also retaining 38.5% of the defenseman's $6.5 million AAV contract, set to end after the 2025-26 NHL season.

Blues reporter Matthew DeFranks announced the final details in another update. He revealed that the Blues sent Jérémie Biakabutuka to the Ducks confirmed that the picks involved in the trade would be in the 2027 draft.

Fowler, 33, spent his whole career with the Ducks playing nearly 1000 games since 2010, when he was drafted by Anaheim.

He had a great impact on the franchise, scoring over 450 points in his time with the Ducks.

This season has been more challenging for him. He scored only four assists in 17 games this season, with a -7 rating.

The St. Louis Blues sure hope that he can get back to his former rhythm and help them compete for a playoff spot against the top teams in the Central Division.

As for Jérémie Biakabutuka, he's a 22-year-old defenseman playing in the ECHL. He had four points, including one goal, in 13 games with the Florida Everblades.
