NHL insider Elliotte Friedman revealed today that there is a lot of drama between JT Miller and the Vancouver Canucks as he returned to the team following his leave of absence.

Friedman was rather coy about the situation, trying to avoid giving details as much as possible.

However, it seemed that he hinted at some kind of problem between Miller and his teammates.

In a post that has now been deleted, one fan reasoned that there must have been a big conflict between the player and the organization that led them to mutually agree to spend some time apart.

Because Miller is such a good hockey player though, it would seem that it is in the best interest of the Canucks to keep him around.

Friedman suggested that the two sides simply need to come to some sort of agreement.

Both the team and Miller will have to make concessions. Perhaps some of Millers teammates will have to make concessions as well.

Hopefully, though, they will ultimately figure out how to make things work.

It will be vital to the long-term success of the team and Jim Rutherford has already commented on it.

Canucks general manager Jim Rutherford has already commented on this situation, stating that the team has no intentions of trading him.

"No, we are not (trading him).We stand by him. Don't start making stuff up on someone in his situation. That's disrespectful. People that do this for fun, or for a living, just go back to making up trade rumours."

Similarly, Miller has made his own statement choosing to remain quite about it.

It would make sense why is asking for so much privacy if this really is an issue between himself and his teammates.

He has gone so far as to say that he will not answer any questions about it, so reporters might as well not ask them.

"I am playing tonight and I really would appreciate it if we just stayed away from the reasons why I wasn't here. You can ask all you want, but I'm not going to dive into the reasons why I wasn't here with the team the last three or four weeks."

This is certainly a story worth following as the Canucks look to establish themselves as a consistent contender in the Pacific division.

Be sure to stay tuned for updates as they continue to come out in the coming days.
