Penguins Trade Guentzel To Eastern Conference Powerhouse

Reports of the trade first surfaced earlier this evening when the Hurricanes announced the Michael Bunting will be sitting tonight's game out due to trade-related reasons.

This immediately launched rumors about who the team was targeting and insiders quickly revealed that Bunting would likely be part of a package going to the Penguins in exchange for Jake Guentzel.

However, there was a significant delay in the rest of the details of the trade coming out as both teams were still working to finalize them. Further complicating matters was the fact that both teams are busy playing tonight. However, we now know everything about the deal.

In exchange for the 29-year-old left winger, the Penguins received several assets. The first is Michael Bunting, whom was assumed to be part of the deal when the initial reports came out.
