Brad Marchand gets a lot of hate for the player he is on the ice, but it turns out he an absolutely amazing person off the ice.
In anticipation of his return to Boston today, Boston native, Kevin Hayes shared an amazing story about Brad Marchand and his late brother Jimmy Hayes son.
Jimmy Hayes passed away August 23rd and unfortunately for brother Kevin his current contract has him playing in Philadelphia away from his nephew. But Brad Marchand has done an amazing job of stepping in and supporting the family in any way he can.
"The Bruins have been amazing with my family and my brother's family," Hayes said on ESPN's The Point, "especially Brad Marchand. He has played street hockey with [Jimmy's son] Beau. He went down to the local Dorchester rink and hung out with them, got them sticks, got them pucks. Beau wants to be Kevin Hayes and Brad Marchand every single morning when he wakes up."
This is just another example of the amazing human being Brad Marchand truly is and he deserves to be celebrated for it.
